@Tati8796 Then it was unconstitutional if you are already a citizen. I think you mean you had a Green Card. Having a Green Card which has legal status is not the same as Naturalized. It meant you were not yet a citizen. You just had legal status to work or live in the US. It takes time to be a citizen.

All I will say to Americans is be careful if you choose to Modify the 14th Amendment of Birthright Citizenship. Because: A. People are abusing the term Birthright and are ignoring the other laws like Naturalization and Foreign Diplomats born in the US aren't citizens. B. Based on my interaction in the comment section, Americans apparently forgot that Legal Immigrants apply to Naturalized Citizens, Green Card Holders and Work Visa people. Careful Careful. All of you Americans might get deported except for those with Native American Heritage since your Founding Fathers were also immigrants that became legal when they founded the good old Republic of the United States of America. I wonder what will be the new wordings. If Donald Trump signed an excutive order today and just stated that Legal immigrants should be deported for repeat criminal records and did not make it clear then Naturalized Citizens also could be deported. George Soros would fit in this category so well.😁

You want to be also deported? Understand the meaning of Legal immigrant.😆In the old days, we use the term Green Card holders to avoid confusion. Rarely we use the term Legal immigrant. Legal immigration of course but never legal immigrant because it can mean you are already Naturalized or you are just a Green Card holder.
2
Dude. Legal Immigrant means you are Naturalized and have renounced your past citizenship.🤣

@CJBhattarai We weren't talking about the legal immigrant process. We are talking about Citizenship from either being a legal immigrant or being an illegal immigrant. Donald Trump should have said Green Card or VISA. It confuses people more.
2
@CJBhattarai That's what I meant fool. A legal immigrant can be one who is Naturalized or a Green Card Holder. When you defended Legal immigrants can lose their status, you also included Naturalized people.

@ CJBhattarai There were No Green Cards and H-1B Visas in those days too. The arguement is about Legal citizenship between Legal immigrants and illegal immigrants. When was the 14th Amendment? When were Green Cards used? In this game, words and definition matters. Smarty pants.😁

@mexreax4493 One can interpret it that way so I decided to Troll CJ who thought he was smart. Imagine if that became law and the word legal immigrant is only there. Only Native Americans will not be included.😆

Unless you are Native Americans, if you want to be deported even though you are legal immigrants from the time of your Founding Fathers, go right ahead.🤣

@Standing_horse Legal immigrant can mean Naturalized or Green Card holder. Stating the facts Jack.

@None-of-your-business_8796 Legal immigrant can mean Naturalized or Green Card holder. One has to be careful.
1
@Tati8796 Nope. You are considered a legal immigrant once you have a Green Card that can be revoked. You are not yet naturalized.
1
@None-of-your-business_8796 Which means you aren't naturalized yet. You are naturalized when the process is finished.
