  1. You aren't paying him to give us his opinions. His opinions were given in his own time and not through the BBC. He's not a political journalist for the BBC so there's no conflict of interest. The BBC has not banned even political pundits like Andrew Neil from giving their political opinions outside the BBC as Andrew Neil was editor of the right wing magazine The Spectator at the same time as he worked for the BBC. It's hypocrisy by the BBC
