Does that absolve the predator from responsibility?

@billhawkins192 I don't know all the circumstances. Perhaps the parents didn't know or didn't know he was a predator. After all, until recently he was regarded as a well respected celebrity. I did hear that the girl was recovering from an eating disorder and he was 'helping her'. He holds himself out as being some kind of wise guru. She described him as a 'friend' before the incident.

@billgreen576 Maybe naivety in trusting him or desperation to cure her of her eating disorder. We should not judge without knowing the facts.

@amandamitchell8894 O.K That's to be determined but I was responding to someone who was quick enough to blame the parents of the 16 year old without knowing all the circumstances. We should wait and see the outcome when the evidence has been assessed.

@billgreen576 I wasn't saying a predator would recognise having responsibility. It would be seen that they were responsible by outsiders.
