The new elite is the same as the old elite over time, and many of them are elected. The managerial, middle class is not the elite. They are not the owners of the means of production. They work for others including big corporations. They do what is expected of them by their employers. People who disagree with the opinions of the middle class, call them an elite as a way of undermining them. It benefits the real elite to squeeze the size of the middle class. What you are talking about are cultural differences. This sort of stuff, propounded in this video is sheer ignorance which fails to understand the meaning of the term 'elite' and these false elite theories are pushed by the real elite and their supporters as a distraction from seeing their real power.
