A new one appeared locally. Very convenient for me and I had a very nice haircut but I saw no one else in the shop the whole time I was there. Can't believe the guy was a criminal though. He was very nice. About 30. Quite gentle. I'd say he was probably a graduate but knew how to cut hair. I don't think his English was more than basic as he wasn't really chatty though asked some polite questions. The 2 advertised hairdressers were him and a woman. I didn't see her though. Not surprising as the business was not busy. Charged £35 for wash, haircut and blow try. I stopped going to my regular hairdresser during Covid lockdowns and then realised I could cut my own hair reasonably well by bringing it to the front on both sides. I'd then ask a family member to look at the back to check it was evenly cut. It generally was, except for a few wisps of hair that needed trimming. My regular hairdresser was charging £60 for a wash haircut and blow dry before lockdowns and the price seemed to go up on each visit (I'd visit about every 6 months). By now I imagine it would be about £80. He did offer a small reductions to seniors but kept forgetting to apply it and I'd forget to ask. It was quite a walk away uphill and now it's too much for me.
