@Paul G I do know the world very well. I'm not a fantasist or easy prey to conspiracy theories like you. There is no benefit from deceiving people over this. Some people don't want to know or can't handle the truth - that's understood.

It's not a 99% survival rate. You haven't been looking at the stats. You have to be concerned if you are 45 or over or have chronic illnesses or are disabled or have a weak immune system.

The numbers of excess deaths are also checked, which shows that it's likely the number of Coronavirus deaths are actually underreported as not everyone who was sick and died was tested for Coronavirus to begin with, but only if they made it to hospital. Care home deaths from the virus were not counted until recently.

@Truth seeker. They do sometimes change shifts and have time off . They can't work 24 hours a day every day.

Yes they got the most brilliant actors and actresses who look like doctors and nurses and who sound as though they know what they are doing and who can look shocked and drained. Then they hired more actors to look and act really sick and have loads of needles and equipment inserted in them. They also hired a hospital and equipment. What are you nuts?

@Truth seeker. It was a moral booster. These people have a hell of a job seeing so many people dying and trying to save people, day after day. Don't criticise unless you've been in that position. Such things happened in wartime too.

@fasteddiejs The excess death figures suggest that Covid cases are actually under counted and no one was counted, until recently, if they didn't get to hospital because only hospital patients were tested.

@stuartcorbett4902 Seriously stop reading fake news on Twitter. Go to a decent proper fact checking source for your information. The excess deaths figure that is used as corroboration for Covid death figures is taken from registered deaths and shows the rate of death above the average for the time of year, the excess undoubtedly caused by the Covid virus. This rate suggests that deaths from the Covid virus are under-reported rather than over reported.

@stuartcorbett4902 Obviously the rate of Covid deaths have been reduced by the lockdowns and other stratagems that countries have used to reduce the spread of the virus. We are not over the pandemic yet though so the figures will keep going up for some time. Flu normally affects people worst in the Winter months but Covid has affected Europe most in the Spring season and will continue for some time to come. Your first sentence needs correcting as it's not grammatical English and it doesn't make sense.

@stuartcorbett4902 'Research' is too broad a term. What are you suggesting? I've had my flu vaccine last Autumn as usual but it won't protect me against Covid 19.

@Truth seeker. I watched it and it seems to me he was advocating open democracies and he was against secrecy and cover ups. He was asking the news media to inform the public and tell them the truth. Clearly he thought there was a network of people who would try to suppress the truth and ensure the press didn't cover the truth. I think this probably includes telling lies. I think in the USA this would be the major corporations who have so much power and influence in politics, particularly the industrial military complex which is always pushing for foreign wars. So that's my interpretation. @Truth seeker. Interesting that Eisenhower was warning against the political influence of the military industrial complex. It seems he was fearful that its powerful influence and hawkish views might propel the world into another war.

@Truth seeker. I hadn't heard of the Bilderberg group. I've looked them up and it seems their aim is world peace with the US and Europe joining in working for free capitalist societies. However I think there's too much economic competition between capitalist countries for any joint enterprise to work. I don't think Kennedy was particularly referring to them. I think it was the military industrial complex. My view on Kennedy's death, and this is my best guess, I'm not asserting it as the 'truth', is that Lyndon Johnson arranged the assassination. I found out afterwards that Jackie Kennedy believed that too. The area of the assassination and cover up was within Johnson's sphere of influence and it had to be someone that high up to arrange the kind of cover up that happened. Motive: Johnson differed politically from Kennedy. He was ambitious and the Kennedy brothers often used to humiliate him. He was probably also corrupt and in the pay of the Mafia or some such group and he feared that would be exposed. He would probably have been a dead man himself if that was exposed as the Mafia would have had to get rid of him. That's my theory anyway. Wasn't Kennedy proposing some anti- corruption drive? I believe he was.
