Unusual and unfortunate factors that worked against this poor kid included lockdown where he was kept indoors while schools were closed so he wasn't seen at school where he might have alerted someone or be noticed missing from school. Another aspect was that he was taken from his real mother as she had stabbed a partner to death. She appeared to love her son though and probably would have protected him or her parents would have, whereas the child's father did not protect him. He seemed like a lovely boy. It seems to be a case of a new partner not wanting him and his father caring more about his new partner than his child. Also his father seemed like a weak minded man, with not much independent thought. He believed everything his partner said and did everything she wanted.
