  2. Rob Val. It's possible because Corbyn/Labour want to stay in a customs union with the EU, but the Tories don't. Staying in a customs union is much easier for the EU to accept. Turkey is not in the EU but it is in a customs union with it. Staying in a customs union would mean no tariffs on trade, smoother trade, no NI border problems.

Here is an explanation of the difference between being in a customs union with the EU and being in the single market which is something different and has wider responsibilities.
