  1. YorkshireSpud. I'm not a fan of May. I'm more a fan of Corbyn, but I don't think he would have done better. No one would have done better because the EU were never going to give a deal that would encourage others to try and leave, and the only other alternative is no deal which is worse. We were always going to be shafted to some extent whether we stayed or left, with or without a deal. That's the nature of the beast which is the EU and also the nature of the global economy now and it's a reflection of our current place in the world. The deal he suggests as plan B would not be supported by Brexiteers who voted leave, so it would be equally divisive, and in any case there is not time to negotiate again. We will be out of the EU, with or without an agreement now on 29th March 2019.
