The government massively cut the police budgets in Britain resulting in a loss of over 20,000 police officers. Also their squeeze on people through the years of austerity budgets resulting in the closure of many leisure and youth facilities and the high youth unemployment and worsening of the gap between rich and poor, and lack of action to tackle drug crime, had a lot to do with it. Trump should concern himself with reducing gun crime in the USA which is far worse than in the UK and there are cities in the USA which exceed London in homicides, before he criticises other people.
