I don't want the Tories back. Labour even with its faults would be better.

@AngelinaG.-cc5xb No it would not. They believe in doing things in government though there won't be much money for it unless they can get the economy moving. However the Tories don' believe in government. They want to shrink government including public services and privatise as much as possible. Apart from that this is the most unstable, divided and useless government I can remember in my lifetime and they don't act to improve the lives of the British people, only to enrich the few.

@David-rr2bt I think he's worried about making promises he can't keep and somehow screwing up before the election by giving the Tory media ammunition to attack him. That's what they did with many previous Labour leaders and it worked. He's made some bad judgements in my opinion but compared to the Tories he will do some good when in power, I'm sure.

@freko106 That's the problem. The Tory media can easily destroy Labour leaders because the electorate seems to fall for all the mud slinging every time. Corbyn had a great manifesto which if enacted would have done a lot of good for the country. However I don't think Corbyn was interested in leadership. He's more of a campaigner. Also he would have had to deal with Covid which was costly and may have derailed some of this plans, and Brexit, though he did offer to hold a second referendum if I remember correctly.

@David-rr2bt We have to have some optimism. Don't know how I'd have got through all these Tory years otherwise and I'm not just referring to 2010 onwards. However I live as if I'm a pessimist. I always imagine things will get worse and so I prepare for that as much as I can. That has enabled me to avoid some of the worst effects of Tory rule.
