@peterscott2395 At school if we made a spelling mistake we had to write it out correctly 3 times. However my daughter's spelling education was not as strict. Really you learn most vocabulary and spelling by reading a lot, which I also loved to do. We speak according to the company we're in and that's natural. I worked in a factory once and had to shout out in a Liverpool accent or people would not understand me. Swearing also helped. Lol it all adds to the fun.

@peterscott2395 I was taught Latin too,. That does help with understanding grammar and the meaning of words that we've derived from that language, but 2 other things helped me. I really enjoyed primary and junior schools and in junior school we had a great library that we were taken to get books once a week. Also we had a great local library and I would borrow the maximum 5 books that you could keep for about 3 weeks. My siblings were very much older than me and had all left home by the time I was 10 years old and I had to amuse myself like an only child would.

@douglasmacari8707 You think Starmer will be worse than the Tories? Think about how much more damage the Tories will do in another 5 years. Starmer is too timid to be bold as he fears the Tory tabloid press. However if he gets elected I think he will aim to improve things albeit not as fast as people would want but that's better than making things worse and realistically it's the only party that can oust the Tories. Over time as the economy improves I believe he will take more steps to improve people's lives.

@simonmilner-edwards4305 You're certainly not getting rid of the Tories by not voting Starmer. Who will do more damage in the next 5 yrears, Starmer who is timid or the Tories who are gung ho for Brexit and destroying poeple's rights?

They are not as bad as the Tories. The Tories will do worse damage in the next 5 years if elected again. Anyone who thinks that way can't have suffered enough under the Tories.
