She was/is a Trump supporter.

She was/is a Trump supporter.

@rolandrimann8788 Thank goodness you two can't vote for her then.

Khan is also British and a Londoner and Londoners don't share your racist views. She is a Trump supporter though.

@john.highheels.3244 I'm a celt. If you are an Anglo Saxon you are as much of a foreigner and Johnny-come-lately to me, moreover your ancestors invaded these islands with violence, but hey, let's be tolerant now.
7
It was David Cameron that made the target that obliges Khan to cut pollution but it's the right thing to do anyway and if you cut the congestion charge in central London, good luck with trying to drive anywhere any time soon.
7
@john.highheels.3244 I'm not much in the habit of talking to racists.
6
@uniquevideosUk And what else do you know about her? If she was a Trump supporter you can say she is right wing, anti-democratic and lacking judgement.
6
And David Cameron set the requirement to cut pollution.
6
She's a Trump supporter.
6
No. We like to live and we like our children to live. London is not a cut through for the rat race.
5
@john.highheels.3244 Yes, Unfortunately I do know what you mean. Are you a Londoner? I doubt it. More likely from the backwoods.
5
I hope not. My asthma has improved now. I don't want to go back to worse health.
5
Didn't say anything much in the way of policy either.
5
@uniquevideosUk The pollution also affects the working class more as they often can't afford to live in the quieter less polluted roads.
5
@rolandrimann8788 Yes, thank goodness you don't.
4
What exactly are their policies? Nigel never says does he? He just knows how to whinge and criticise.
3
@@Spitfire1969 Why don't you move if you don't like it. It's not just my chest. It's the chests of millions of Londoners and their children.
2
It was David Cameron (Tory) who introduced the requirement doe cutting pollution that requires Khan to go ahead with this.
2
@chips1889 Boris introduced it but he ceased to be Mayor in 2016. The target requirement set was for 2020. I understand that Cameron set the requirement for air pollution reduction. 'More than 80 per cent of central London would be expected to meet the nitrogen dioxide (NO2) annual EU legal limits in 2020'. So even Boris might have had to extend it if the target was not met.

@fivewindow32 Glad to amuse.
1
@rolandrimann8788 Because you might vote for her.
1
membershipofbus Eh?
1
@uniquevideosUk * not have or not've (English please). He has to meet a target set by David Cameron in earlier years.
1
@uniquevideosUk No. I read it. Do you read?
1
How do you know? Would you vote for someone who just says they'll make things better? No lessons learned then.
1
You mean white? Khan is English as he was born here. She is a Trump supporter.
1
@jackflash743 * There are (English please).

@rolandrimann8788 Glad you don't live in London too. TfL has debt which does not make it a cash cow. This was from a news article in 2019. 'Efforts to reduce the level of dust include new signalling on the Northern and Jubilee lines, which reduce the need to break defensively. TfL has also introduced new techniques to replace tracks, swapping jackhammers for “concrete breaking” that creates less dust. The inquiry will look into whether increased tunnel ventilation using fans could reduce airborne particulates, and whether barrier doors could could lower the level of pollutants, as was shown in two studies on the Barcelona metro. An electrostatic precipitator could also be deployed, using electrical forces to collect particles.

@rolandrimann8788 I don't know. I'm not the scientific expert am I? Don't shoot the messenger.
1
@jcw9539 Something to bear in mind before voting foolishly.
1
membershipofbus Indeed she can, but who she likes tells us something about her true beliefs.
1
membershipofbus I don't hate her but having criticised me for doing so, you then tell me you hate me for liking Sadiq Khan. Where is your sense of logic?

membershipofbus I travelled on those Routemasters. They were a vanity project of Johnson costing over a £1m for each bus and they were poorly designed and poor value for money. The windows didn't open and in the Summer people would roast. His shortening of bus routes was designed to reduce congestion in the centre of London although I wish he hadn't done it to the 4 or the 134. I'm glad there are 20mph speed limits. I used to worry about my child crossing a busy road when the cars were racing along, and the air has cleaned up since his clean air policies were introduced and my asthma has improved as a result. I like the fact that he provided free school meals for all primary school children and that he froze many transport fares and allowed 2 bus journeys for the price of one if they are both taken within an hour.

@Kaizan27 In hers more than mine. He's still around to potentially cause havoc if he gets elected again though.
