  1. The federal judges are stopping or pausing some of it but it takes a while for legal processes to happen. Trashing things, ignoring the law and all rules is much faster. I believe some one is moving for impeachment but Congress is dominated by Republicans. It would take some of them to abandon Trump but though they may not agree with him, they may fear him.

  2. Taxation is the price of civilisation. Wealthy men like Musk and Trump don't understand the implications of radically cutting public services. There will be social unrest if this continues and which side will the army come out on if called upon to suppress it, I wonder. Trump has insulted and threatened just about every government service including the FBI, the CIA and the military.
