  1. The word cancelled in British English has a double ll in it or are we slavishly adopting American English now?

  2.  @TLowGrrreen  The King's English will sooner be replaced by American English. Pronunciations are already heavily Americanised and adverbs are dying out.

  3.  @edmundblackaddercoc8522  Not a snob. A lover of the English version of English, considering it more beautiful and less clunky on the whole than the American version. I would like to preserve it but it's a losing battle I fear.
