@oldskoolrools3087 No one's 'throwing money'. It's an investment in children who are the nation's future - an investment any wealthy and civilized nation would make. Your arguments about having children to get more benefits... did you not know that the Tories limited child benefit to 2 children only. The number of children in poverty has grown since the Tories have been in power, so you are saying it's o.k for the Tories to allow things to get worse and sit on their hands doing nothing about it? A hungry child can't wait for complex policy tinkering to work its way through. I believe there's an Indian charity that has offered to support hungry kids in Britian.

@oldskoolrools3087 Whoosh on that one! Do you think I don't know about Indian poverty? That's why it's ironic that an Indian charity would offer to support poor children in the UK. Poverty is being unable to afford food for your children or heating or anywhere to live. People may fall into poverty after having children through no fault of their own but because of circumstances. I think it's pointless trying to explain that as you have no comprehension.

@scottishlisa3463 You can't get out of it that easily. The number of hungry kids in poverty has grown since the Conservatives have been in power. Gordon Brown when Labour were in power took many kids out of poverty (500,000 I think)
