  3. I've never heard grim used to mean quite what Ricky says. Grim means bleak and depressing, unattractive, forbidding, very serious, miserable, dreary.

  4. I have some half siblings whose mother's maiden name is Gillen. The family comes originally from an area of Ireland near Lough Gill. What they have in common with Aidan Gillen, apart from good looks, is that nice hair that is thicker than average - no baldness or receding hairlines in that family :-)
