That old cliché. Well it saves having to think too much.

@billyshears5569 Personally I don't find thinking gets to be too much, no.

And the speaker pointed out how many times he has used his discretion to give a voice to Brexiteers. They just don't like it when they don't like the rulings. All the tax avoiders and would be tax avoiders are annoyed when they can't get their way even when try to do it by breaking rules. As for it being similarly wrong to expect the voters to answer the same question a second time, the same questions can't be put in the same session of Parliament, but once that session has ended they can be put again or if circumstances have substantially changed, both of which apply in the case of a further Referendum.

It's democracy playing out. The government is trying to trick Parliament to end up with a no deal and and Parliament is trying to block them from doing that because it doesn't want a no deal and I think most of the country don't want a no deal because it will harm them. The only people who would benefit from it are, the very wealthy, corporate tax avoiders, hedge fund managers and those who gamble against the UK's performance in a practice called 'shorting'. There are plenty of those backing the Tory no dealers.

@Si_Mondo Why, because you think he didn't think? I don't think so.

@doveronefoxtrot4417 I do believe the Labour party has the interests of people at heart and the fewest corrupt individuals and having been a civil servant in my career I have had some insight into that world. However it seems the mass media and force of habit has brainwashed too many people into thinking it's Boris Johnson who is on their side. P.S. In the absence of active support, the Tories rely on the apathy of voters, particularly those at the bottom of the pile who have lost hope.

@geoffedwards-tb4kp The result will affect you though, like it or not.

@JustUsFlyers The majority of Parliament is trying to block a no deal exit. They don't trust Johnson not to be using this deal as a ruse to get to no deal because that's what Johnson and an influential group of Tories really want, whereas the general public in the Referendum weren't given a choice of deal or no deal. In fact the Brexiteers Leave Manifesto at the time said we'd have a lovely deal when we left (pages 3 and 30 if you care to look it up). SOME MPs are trying to stop leave by any means, that's true, but not the majority and most of them are representing remain constituencies or have realised that there will be no gain to the UK in leaving the EU considering they have had more information available since the Referendum. Also current surveys indicate that the majority of the population would not be for no deal and some indicate the majority would be for remain now. People are allowed to change their minds in a democracy. What we're witnessing is democracy playing out in a kind of Brexit/deal/no deal/remain death struggle - a complicated game of chess.
