The assumption seems to be that a felon is unlikely to become President because people would not vote for them, but Trump seems to defy conventional wisdom. Interestingly, while federal laws don't bar felons from standing for President, some state laws do bar them from standing for office in those states. How, in practical terms would someone be able to act as President if they were in prison by the time of the election? It's all testing the system and the voters isn't it? It's a matter of 'watch this space'.

When Trump tries to manipulate and fiddle the election results, he doesn't want polls that contradict the manipulated result.
