  1. Every British city has a cathedral. One of the qualifications to be a city is to have a cathedral. The smallest cathedral city in Britain is St David's in west Wales.

  4. Emma, I suppose it doesn't matter which religious denomination has a cathedral. Maybe they got cathedral status because they had been granted city status :-)
