  2. A long time go, Aldous Huxley wrote a dystopian science fiction book called 'Brave New World' where the population is on a drug called 'soma' that keeps them happy. When you said they want people on drugs it reminded me of that.

  9. I think by 'Parasite Class' they may be referring to anyone who relies on state benefits or federal programs not just the civil servants or agencies that administered them.
