The traditional left position on the EU only works if you have Labour governments in the UK and then only in part. However as Tory governments are the norm in the UK, coming out of the EU just gives them the opportunity to demolish workers rights.

@evolassunglasses4673 He was so hammered by the media and traditional Labour voters did not identify with him because he had an international outlook, didn't have an obsession with immigration, came from the south of England and not from traditional working class roots. Not many of them read his manifesto to see how well his policies would have benefited them. In terms of Brexit he offered people a choice, a new vote on the proposal now that people had more information and could see what the proposed deal was under Theresa May, with a choice of options from Remain, to various other Brexit options. Unfortunately by then people were so fed up with the length of time Brexit was taking they didn't want any further lengthy procedures and leavers didn't want to risk the referendum result being overturned in a further vote.
