  1. I don't understand how this can happen. Anaesthetic usually consists of an intravenous infusion and the patient is asked to count to 10 to ensure they are out before being taken into the theatre. If done correctly no one gets to 10. Why would they use gas? Why wouldn't they be monitoring his vital signs?
