  1. WTO Brexit is not a surprise to anyone following events. There isn't time to negotiate a trade deal with the EU even if Boris wanted to which he doesn't. Boris has always wanted a hard (no deal) Brexit as that benefits the wealthy most. Boris and the EU may agree a few narrow things in that time and Boris may call it a 'Deal' for PR reasons. No country in the world relies solely on WTO trade terms because it's like the 4th division of trading. The want deals with other countries because that's the Premier League of Trading. In any case Boris has already signalled that he doesn't want a deal by removing EU workers rights and environmental standards from the mandatory part of his withdrawal agreement with the EU, and he dropped them from the Brexit Bill. Putting pressure on the EU will not work. It has not worked in the past or so far. The integrity of the EU is more important to the EU than loss of trade with the UK. We will not be poor masters or rich servants. We will be poor servants of Boris and Trump and their ilk.
