In favour of central dictat you mean?

I voted for him and all my friends did too. This investigation is not about voting. It's about the announcement of the opening of the Elizabeth line a day before the local elections.

@jonbaker5990 I don't regret it though. Did you hope either the dim Tory or the even dimmer Lawrence Fox would win? Neither being on the side of the workers. I don't think Lawrence would know what a worker was, but there are lots of them among the voters in London.

@jonbaker5990 Well, I live on a busy road and developed chronic asthma as an adult but it's been a lot better since the congestion zone and the the ultra low emission zones were introduced. I've been able to drop one of my asthma meds. You drive in London but you don't say that you live here. It's people who live here who vote for Mayor. In fact your experience would be worse without these policies because public transport in London is good and more people have been encouraged to use it, reducing traffic on the roads.

@jonbaker5990 No other candidate or party offers to tackle congestion except the Greens. Unfortunately London is a big city that dominates the country economically and wasn't designed with minimising pollution in mind so it's not an easy problem to solve but when electric vehicles become the norm it will get better. A lot of people cycle. I used to, but I was nearly killed on a couple of occasions by lorries overtaking me and swinging into the kerb while still passing me as if I wasn't there. Fortunately on both occasions the kerb. gave way and I could get off the road. I didn't think I'd be lucky a third time. The economy would be more balanced if the Tories had supported manufacturing in Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, but I remember Margaret Thatcher's government saying we didn't need manufacturing, because we could earn our living from financial services which are predominantly situated in London. As for criminal violence that's been increasing around the towns and cities of Britain as poverty increases. That's not to excuse it, but I think it is an underlying cause. The Tories claim to be the party of law and order but they seem to break the law whenever it suits them these days and they were responsible for the cuts in police numbers by 21,000 since 2010.

@englishciderlover7347 Nope. That's what Tories like people to believe to keep themselves in power or sow apathy.
