  1. She didn't beg Trump for a handshake. The journalists suggested it (they wanted a photo of it) and she was prepared for it but Trump sat there staring down, like a rude selfish little boy in a pathetic sulk.

  2.  @iaf6563  It's normal protocol not to say good manners when leaders meet, to shake hands. Angela is a friendly person by nature too. Trump is a child who's playing childish games. You can disagree on things without making it personal. He's playing to the crowd.

  4.  @iaf6563  I don't think she cared in the end whether he shook her hand or not. If you can't see this in a 'normal' context, you must be a Trump supporter who thinks sunshine comes out of his nether regions.

  6. I think she showed humour and spontaneity but in a restrained way. She was often the adult in the room when others were throwing tantrums or otherwise being childish. I liked her love of beer, her eye rolling at Putin, her handling of Trump, her general modesty and ordinariness.
