Comments by "Helen Trope" (@heliotropezzz333) on "Boris Johnson shown all the times he said 'let Covid rip' in uncomfortable inquiry moment" video.
You could see he didn't know how to respond to this clear evidence of his intentions. In the end he opted to deny everything in spite of the evidence. Unbelievable in every sense.

@MattyMooreChannel Well Boris nearly died from it.

@mylon5227 How do you know? The NHS staff who cared for him confirmed it and they had no love for Johnson. They were at pains to clarify that he got the same care as every other patient they cared for, as he seemed to talk as if he had special care but they never corrected what he said about the seriousness of his condition.

@mylon5227 why would he hire paid actors who seemed so annoyed with him and keen to correct his misrepresentations? How could they tell lies and that the hospital would not correct? Not everyone is corrupt outside of the political world and especially not inside the NHS hospitals that would not put up with any such misrepresentations.

@honeybadger9425 How will 'overhauling the NHS' provide the extra beds and staffing that the government allowed to reduce so much over its years in government and provide the equipment for handling Covid that was of the right quality, when the government was prepared to waste so much money on ineffective equipment and useless measures such as tack and trace? It's the government that needs to go.

@honeybadger9425 I know what the word 'overhaul' means and I knew before I posted my comment.

@honeybadger9425 Overhaul also means 'to completely change a system so that it works more effectively. The Tories have several times changed the NHS system in major reorganisations but it they have hindered rather than helped the NHS and cost them a lot of money.

@honeybadger9425 Look up some facts. When Labour left power in 2010 the NHS had the shortest waiting lists ever and the highest patient satisfaction survey results. The damage to the NHS is always caused under the Tories. Also it's not been going backwards for decades. In the 2000s I had cancer treatment but no cancer patients got scan checks for cancer spread in those times. Now I have had multiples scans for cancer spread. All patients with cancer are checked like that now. I can see why costs have gone up. Partly it's because there is an ageing population and partly because more treatments and tests are now offered to patients. Privatisation of some services has had an impact too as money is siphoned off in profits.

@honeybadger9425 To say that without looking at the evidence is just prejudice. I'm focussed on important evidence which you don't seem to have checked. I also worked in the Department of Health when Labour was in power and when the Conservatives were in power. I saw what went on and the difference in motivation, investment and outcomes.

@honeybadger9425 You have no logic. Losing beds would logically make waiting times longer not shorter Their view was that the development of technology such as laparsocopy would allow more people to be treated as day cases rather than as inpatients and they organised more care in the community rather than in hospitals. They also arranged some short term contracts with private hospitals to reduce waiting lists for specific operations such as knee and hip replacements and cataract surgery. Probably no party really prepared enough for an ageing population (the Tories not at all), but I've had enough now of discussing things with an ignorant and prejudiced person who just wants to stay ignorant and prejudiced.

@honeybadger9425 I do agree that too many beds were cut and there were not enough to cope with Covid. Both parties are responsible for bed cuts but at least one was trying to provide alternative ways of treating people as far as they could foresee. In 2010 an epidemic such as Covid was not foreseen but the Tories were warned to prepare for one by about 2014 by creating a plan and stocking up on PPE. They did neither.
