That would be good if true because pay goes up in real terms under Labour government and Blair put more money into the NHS and achieved better outcomes for patients and the lowest ever waiting lists.

@lennylaa1686 You seem entirely unaware of the global meltdown in the banking sector, during Brown's time in office, caused by sub prime mortgage debt in the US which international banks took a share of. This affected many banks and many countries. The UK was forced to spend money to prop up British banks in order to preserve people's savings as well as shoring up confidence in the global banking system in order to save international capitalism from collapse. Brown persuaded other countries to do the same. This was a result of too light regulation of the banks but at the time the Tories were pressing for even lighter regulation.

@CJ4YRD Cultures always change over time and always have. Britain has been highly influenced, historically, by the cultures that traded with or or conquered it or that it conquered. If a culture is good and strong people will be influenced by it. If it is not, if it is exclusive and intolerant, people will reject it.
