  1. The EU constructed the withdrawal agreement to protect the Good Friday Agreement. Boris is talking nonsense when he says his amendments are to protect the Good Friday Agreement.

  3.  @pauldunne5230  but Boris agreed to this last year when he signed the withdrawal agreement. It's nothing new. The EU aren't controlling our trade, but if we are leaving the EU there has to be customs between the UK and the EU otherwise it's just leaving a backdoor for smugglers to bring goods into the EU that may not meet their standards and or pay their tariffs, thereby undermining the single market.
