What she said about government and small businesses does not relate to Biden's time but it's clear she just dipped a toe in the water for her mittens. (She only ever made 30 pairs) She is a teacher and a mother and doesn't have time for it anyway (said Bernie). I know myself that it takes a long time to make anything by hand. Commercial production is done by machine. To get a profit on hand production the prices would need to be set too high to compete, so it's really technology developments that have made it not worth it as a business. It's a pity because her methods are ecologically sound. She makes them from recycled materials. Maybe Biden will introduce greener policies that would make such a business more viable.

  10.  @leeuniverse  I don't know what 'side hustle' means but people often blame taxes when there are other underlying causes of business failure, simply because they don't like taxes and it's a convenient excuse. In the UK there have been a lot of tax cuts but whatever the tax level, there are always those (mainly business interests) who claim taxes are too high. I think for them taxes would always be 'too high' no matter what the level.
