@leeuniverse I read the article. She says she's 'super pro Bernie'. What she said about government and small businesses does not relate to Biden's time but it's clear she just dipped a toe in the water for her mittens. (She only ever made 30 pairs) She is a teacher and a mother and doesn't have time for it anyway (said Bernie). I know myself that it takes a long time to make anything by hand. Commercial production is done by machine. To get a profit on hand production the prices would need to be set too high to compete, so it's really technology developments that have made it not worth it as a business. It's a pity because her methods are ecologically sound. She makes them from recycled materials. Maybe Biden will introduce greener policies that would make such a business more viable.

@leeuniverse I don't know what 'side hustle' means but people often blame taxes when there are other underlying causes of business failure, simply because they don't like taxes and it's a convenient excuse. In the UK there have been a lot of tax cuts but whatever the tax level, there are always those (mainly business interests) who claim taxes are too high. I think for them taxes would always be 'too high' no matter what the level.

@MindYaBizz_Whiz United you stand, divided you fall. Lots of people falling right now under the idea that individuals can sink or swim on their own without help from the state. There are times when help is needed from the state and tax revenue provide for that safety net.
