I read that the killer's nickname among his police colleagues was 'the rapist'. I wonder how he got that nickname and whether they thought he was suitable as a policeman. He had also be caught 'flashing' before he committed this crime. There should be some process for challenge and review of police who have this kind of background. It was probably because he was able to use his police warrant card that she trusted him and got into his car.

@Pashaster Investigate the reason for the nickname and whether that triggers any alarm bells. The character of a person should be important in deciding whether they are fit to be a policeman.
