@peterwoodhead2569 Maybe the guy should consult you on the 'simple way round' his problems. It's not the EU being difficult. The EU was set up to protect its market from outside global competition and preserve standards, so it has rules for members and different terms and conditions for outside countries (third party rules). These rules have not changed since we Brexited. They were in place beforehand. We just voted to become a third party, outside of the EU, subject to third party rules. In fact the EU did give us some concession as the withdrawal agreement we have with them means we avoid paying tariffs on traded goods. Brexit is causing problems. Our growth rates are now the lowest in Europe apart from Russia. We are now in recession. The forecast for the next 2 years is bad with no guarantee of improvement beyond that. No one can really point to any benefits from Brexit or any detriments from being in the EU. In the EU the UK created or voted for around 99% of EU directives. The only ones 'suffering' were the very wealthy Tory lobbyists who were about to have tax loopholes and fraud loopholes closed off.
