  1.  @ozzie2612  If they had a proper system working adequately staffed they could quickly process cases to distinguish genuine asylum seekers from illegal migrants and return illegal ones to their own country but since there is a labour shortage fuelling supply shortages and price rises, since Brexit, the government could do with some more workers.

  5. *precedent not president. Oh yes, they will push to see what they can get away with. Most governments (meaning all governments before this Tory one) would check whether something was legal before announcing it.
