  1. Probably to do with men of that heritage having come over to the UK and traditionally worked in these industries but I like to think also it's to do with Celtic eloquence coming to the fore and the spirit of standing up for yourself and others.

  3. Some of it pays for their office support I believe and it's probably also to try and attract good quality candidates. Ha ha.

  4.  @Syanarah  Yes you're right. I just looked it up. I wonder why then, that some MPs accept outside help from lobbyists in paying their office expenses or providing external office staff, when there's no need for it.
