  1. I believe this should be the end goal for investing. Starting out slow, investing a couple hundred bucks every couple of months, sometimes a little more if you're lucky. Every year you get a little bit of money, which you invest. But every year you get a little more, which you put back in. Rinse and repeat. I don't think people should jump into investing acting like they'll collect several million dollars by Christmas and will be able to quit their promising job to move to a beach house in Key West.
