  1.  @OptimisticNihilist15  Especially against China, where most of the Navy's job will be carrying out a distant blockade and hunting down isolated Chinese sea assets. Aircraft carriers would never be anywhere near the coast.

  3. By contrast, time is working against the Chinese. The Chinese are reaching their peak before a combination of bad demographics, bursting real estate bubble, corruption, and increasing cost of labor combine to lead to their "Lost Decade".
