  1. Pretty much impossible, unless the US is really weakened. Right now, at it's full strength, not even the rest of the world could invade it, since the US would simple invade the rest of the Americas and turn it into an inaccessible stronghold. It's neighbors such as Canada and Mexico couldn't stop an American invasion, and I doubt and serious reinforcements could arrive in time to prevent them from falling.
