"Clean energy" is too unrefined and inefficient to be used on a mass scale. What use are wind turbines when the wind doesn't blow? What use is a solar panel when the sun is down? Oil, of course, it temporary, but it is used for now to buy time to find an energy source that is more efficient, cleaner, and more permanent. Fusion power is the most notable one here.

@fusion9619 China is not having a baby boom, and anyone who tells you they are is mentally handicapped.

@donverga Some would actually be okay with your statement.

Eh, the Dutch will just reclaim more land.

Russia ironically enough might choose to work with the Americans. Both are wary of the Chinese.

@ГрецкийОлег-щ3г There are no true friends in the international world, except for Britain and the US (because the people of both countries see the other so highly). The Soviet Union of the 80's was rotting. The Soviet Union was held together by Moscow pointing a gun at the republics. When that gun was put away, the republics did not hesitate to leave. However, the balance of power is shifting. Russia will cooperate in the future with America, because both fear the rise of China. China's moves towards the Arctic will eventually threaten Alaska, and eventually US territories of Guam and Samoa. Today we hate each other Ruskie, but tomorrow we find we hate the Chinese more...

@trapmozart9217 Nuclear is good, but uranium is pretty rare. Nuclear power plants are also expensive to build, because you have to make sure they don't melt down.

Imagine the base state of humanity: Tribalism.

@LancesArmorStriking Russia does have a very powerful nuclear arsenal. However, as time goes on, that likely will not be enough to hold back the Chinese. Especially as resources grow scarcer.

@hetzatheofany2235 Perhaps. This saga has yet to end...

@fusion9619 China has been having a large demographic crisis. There are many more men than women. Also, as countries grow more developed, they have less births.
