  1.  @paradoxicaluniverse  But, the differences are real. People like to bash American infrastructure for being crap, yet Russia's is literally falling apart. Gas explosions that kill dozens of people are a regular occurrence. Look at the mining city of Norilisk, the most polluted city in the world. It is so polluted, mining the dirt and soot for minerals is actually profitable, because the machinery is so bad. Russia, although big, is a paper tiger economically.

  2.  sakata gintoki  Unlikely. China has debt problems too. It has a massive real estate bubble, a massive, bloated, and very corrupt bureaucracy, and quality controls in the country are essentially non-existent. People like to go on about how China will replace the West, but it won't.
