Compared with Nato type armies, this Chinese army sounds mainly clumsy and ineffective based on loyality, mistrust quantity and not on quality, trust, but this is a refextion of what you may expect from a totalitairian paranoid police state; badly organised, out of reality, see what happend to Russia(world s 2nd army?) with paranoide Putin. Independent thinking and actions, from even the lowest rangs: not appreciated by the party, resulting in rather blind and brainless army. PLA might be loyal to some level, but not suicidal, like Russia.against the Ukraine. Chinese are far less crazy and more realistic than Russians.
