@mef12727 Even when women report right away it can become he said/she said, women often get accused of seeking fame/money or questioned what they were wearing or if drinking.

Actually women tend to get harsher sentences than men on many crimes. Marissa Alexander was sentenced to 20 years for firing a warning shot into the wall near where her abusive husband stood. Kim Dadou received 17 years for fatally shooting her boyfriend (who had abused her for 4 years) after he climbed on top of her in his car and threatened to kill her. Meanwhile, in 2017 in North Carolina, a man convicted of stabbing his pregnant wife to death in their bedroom was released from prison after only 7 years. In Nebraska, a man who was found guilty of severing his wife’s head was allowed to reenter the community with supervision, after spending only five years in a psychiatric hospital.

@paanora440 Easy for you to say. Most rapists never even see the inside of a courtroom. A lot of women who have gone through the legal process say they would never blame another rape victim for not going through with the hellish process.

Rape is legal in the US I guess.

Rape is very hard to report and get prosecuted now, back then it was even worse, especially when the accused is a beloved celebrity. Women who report right away get accused of wanting fame or money too.

@All5AJz I think you underestimate how big a celebrity he was.

You think they all knew about each other when the crimes happened? Rape is very hard to report and get prosecuted now, back then it was even worse, especially when the accused is a beloved celebrity. Women who report right away get accused of wanting fame or money too.
