@spilledsalt4862 Sterilization was literally used as a tool for eugenic thought...did you even pay attention?

@tzvikakleyman5586 Embryos aren't babies. Try again. And birth control PREVENTS pregnancies, genius.

@vinlago Sorry to disappoint you, but Margaret Sanger was against abortion. She only ever advocated for birth control. And she wasn't even a racist, she said that white men were the problem and caused discrimination. But don't take my word for it, Dr Martin Luther King Jr called Sanger an inspiration to his own movement.

Fun fact - white supremacist eugenics was the reason abortion was banned in the U.S., proponents were afraid too few white babies were being born so they tried to take away choice from women.

She had a lobotomy

Regular people: "Why don't billionaires spend their money on helping people instead of spending on themselves???" Bill Gates: spends huge sums of his fortune on giving healthcare access to poor people and protecting the environment Regular people: "HE'S EVVVVIIIIILLLL!"

He siblings didn't do it, the father did. Her siblings had no idea it even happened to her for YEARS, they were upset too. And not sure what you mean, several of her siblings outlived her. And Rosemary didn't "sleep around" she just kept trying to be independent.

So did Helen Keller (she was WAY into it), Teddy Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, etc, pretty much everyone believed in Eugenics back then, it was considered cutting edge science. Not much of an accusation. Sanger though eventually left the eugenics movement because she disagreed with stuff like this - she always maintained women should be the ones making that decision for THEMSELVES and not others based on class or race.

@anneshirley95 I'm sure you googled some anti abortion sites filled with the typical lies. But if you actually did research you would see she was respected by leaders in the Black community for her work with them and granting access to medical care. You know Dr Martin Luther King wrote a speech praising her and her work, right?
