My neighbors had a down syndrome kid that was severely affected, never stopped wearing diapers and was prone to violent rages his whole life. The family had little money for their other kids because of the medical treatments he needed. His siblings moved far away because of him, and refused to be in charge of his care as his parents got old. It even got to the point his parents prayed he would die before they did.

  35. Hun, no form of birth control is 100% effective. I knew a married couple that got an abortion because the husband's vasectomy reversed itself. And only having "life of death" allowances puts women's lives at risk - women are having to risk sepsis and being at death's door before doctors will help them. Its only a matter of time before we have our own Savita Halappanavar here in the USA.
