  1. I started out hating Damian Wayne, but now he's my favorite character in the DCU. His character development has been amazing to watch.

  2. Joseph Moore He was like that YEARS ago and that was on purpose. He's had years of character development that have been amazing to watch. I admit I hated his character too at the beginning. But he became my favorite member of the Bat-family. "When he died I couldn't have cared any less" You know he's alive now, right?

  7. empolyon 2 Morrison, Tomasi and Gleason all show Damian evolving pretty well. The best IMHO is New 52's Batman and Robin series by Peter Tomasi.

Now it’s just kind of out of continuity. I didn’t actually read it before I started writing this. I messed up a lot of details, like Batman wasn’t drugged when he was having sex with Talia and it didn’t take place in the desert. I was relying on shaky memories. - Grant Morrison, Wizard #182 (p. 38).  In the actual origin story, Bruce and Talia are married and know they’re expecting a baby (Bruce is over the moon about it) but Talia pretends to lose the baby and they go their separate ways. I have no idea what Morrison must have been on when he read that, because it was a pretty romantic read.

In the actual origin story, Bruce and Talia are married and concieve in the usual fashion, they know they're expecting a baby (Bruce is over the moon about it) but Talia pretends to lose the baby and they go their separate ways. Talia actually had the embryo removed and put into an artificial womb to be genetically perfected. He's not artificially aged though.

  17. Everton Dale Um what? There is no "most versions." There is only one version and that's Batman and Talia having sex. In both the source material, Son of the Demon and Morrison's rewrite, Batman and Son. Same in the New 52. He's a son, not a clone.

In Son of the Demon, he and Talia were married, she got pregnant, Batman was really happy at the thought of being a dad, but Talia pretended to lose the baby (in reality she just had it removed from her body and put into an artificial womb) and they broke up after that.

  31. Everton Dale WatchMojo has that phrased badly. Batman and Talia had sex, she got pregnant, and put the embryo in an artificial womb to make it stronger. In no version of the comic has Damian been implied to have been a clone.

  32. isis gill I really hate that they wrote in the "drugging" storyline in the movie, since Grant Morisson admitted he did that by mistake because he remembered "Son of the Demon" all wrong. Talia and Batman have had sex plenty of times, drugging makes zero sense!

  33. isis gill Its somewhat canon now. And I'm fairly sure the New 52 made the conception consensual, in Batman and Robin Vol 1, Bruce says: "Damian exists because I let my heart overrule my head." Which makes the movie's decision even more confusing.
