  3. Urius Tosh Actually you don't understand immune systems. People who live in highly populated areas, ie cities, tend to have better disease resistance than those who live in less populated zones. Heck Europeans lived through the Black Death and whatnot. They had killer immune systems. Its also highly naive to claim native populations in general were "healthier" than Europeans - I've worked with native skeletons, and there are plenty of diseases in the before Europeans showed up. I've seen iron deficiencies, signs of syphilis (which many scientists think actually originated in the New World or at least had its own strain there), plus there's good evidence a good chunk of the North American native American population was decimated by disease before the English settlers began arriving.
