As Prime Minister, he pressured the Eisenhower administration into expediting the release of convicted Class B and Class C war criminals. Abe engaged in the same war crime denialism as his grandfather and visited the shrine where war criminals are buried.

Conservatives, the literal zealous evengalicals, are the ones who have been waving flags and essentially worshipping a rich conman, sending death threats to school boards, politicans, teachers, librarians, leaving old women stranded on the side of the road over a bumper sticker they disagreed with, tried to overturn an election via coup, standing around expecting a dead man to appear and run alongside the candidate they worship...I could go on all day.
