The actual battle of Stirling Bridge sounds 100x more badass than some generic open field fight. How did they not go with that???

Except people do think the history in them is accurate when it isn't. The "ItS jUsT eNtErTaInMeNt" line is a flimsy excuse.

@RUdigitized I'd be willing to let that slide if he had made any real effort to be historically accurate in the overall movie...
