  13. You're the one glossing over the fact that McDonalds coffee had burned several other people, some severely, and had been warned by experts to lower the temperature. They didn't because they prioritized profit over safety, it was cheaper to pay off the injured than lower the coffee temperature. The industry standard for serving hot drinks is around 150° F, McDonalds kept it near 200 so it could be served longer. This was in no way a "ridiculous" case. Also McDonalds doesn't have knives, genius. How is it "stupid" to put a coffee cup between your knees in a PARKED car?

And McD WAS sued by a customer who was severely burned when an employee dropped the coffee on him. McD's coffee was dangerously hot and they kept it that way because it saved them money.
