thank u for sharing and for being part of the military realm (i never have been) I had a major car wreck where i was extremely lucky at age 41, i was/am a quite fit man. I was barely injured but it did tweak something in my thigh/hip area/bone something-- (like an idjit, i didnt see a doctor, EVER ,so far, about it, and it actually took 7 yrs (!) to not have weird pain at night while sleeping.) The first night after the car wreck (it was a frozen ground wreck btw, where i rolled my rather compact Cherokee multiple times (if i'd been taller than my 5' 8", i'd likely have had neck/back or deadly injuries i guess),,,,anyway that first night or two i was put up at a motel that was the nicest place i've ever stayed at, on a tiny river, and it had a pool. Being in that pool was like no feeling i've ever had, and it may have helped to remind me ,or somesuch, about how the body wanted to feel or wanted to move, and with how much pressure/force, etc. Everyone knows, of course, that water therapy, ie moving around and exercising in water is extreeeemly good for the body re pain, injuries etc. Hope u find that too if not already.
